The School of Death is an Eamon adventure written by Kurt Townsend.
Premise
Outside the Main Hall you encounter Sir Luketzar, the Baron of Lucidia, who tells you that a band of thieves broke into his castle last night. Though the guards captured or killed nearly all the culprits, the leader, Karal, escaped with four of the baron's precious family treasures: the Golden Cup of Negavia; a painting of one of the baron's ancestors; the sword Fireking; and the magical crystal known as Krystar. He tells you that he will pay you well to recover the treasures, and that you can keep Fireking if the other pieces are safely returned.
The baron says that Karal is believed to be hiding in the ancient ruins of a school known as Tech High, located in another plane of existence; he'll send Sir Orabon to accompany you on the mission. The baron's wizard Zorphurck magically teleports you to the entrance of the school where the adventure begins.

As you were exiting the Main Hall, you bumped into none other than the Baron of Lucidia, Sir Luketzar. He said that he has heard a lot about you, and was coming over to see you about doing him a small favor. Not being a coward, you bid him to continue, and he tells you the following. "Last evening, during one of my best parties, a small band of thieves managed to break into the castle storeages and steal some of my family treasures. The palace guards captured and killed all but one of the culprits. Only their leader, Karal, managed to escape. "Among the things still missing are the Golden Cup of Negavia; a painting of my fore-father Kahn; Fireking, sword of conquerors; and the magical crystal Krystar. You must bring back all the treasures. You will be paid well, and you may keep Fireking, if all other treasures are unharmed. "It is said that Karal is hiding in the ancient ruins on a different plane of existence. A place called Tech High School, whatever that is. One of my best men, Sir Orabon, will meet you at the entrance." Zorphurck, the baron's wizard, then steps up and chants, making signs in the air with his hands. You soon feel a nauseating pull at your stomach, and find yourself at the entrance to Tech High. |
