Catacombs of Terror is an Eamon adventure written by Phil Schulz.
Premise
The adventure's full introduction:
The time has come for you to go on yet another adventure in the land of Eamon. After all, you get rather bored sitting around in the Main Hall all day doing nothing but sipping ale and looking at the other poor adventurers who have barely made it back alive. Well, here's what you have to do...
There is a cave not far from here which is rumored to be the entrance to some ancient catacombs. Your mission is not that difficult: just get through them alive. While in the catacombs, you may find all sorts of valuable treasure. But why should I tell you too much? Find out for yourself!
You finish your meal, charge it to some new Eamonaut's account, and go on your way.
Schulz notes that he removed the Power spell from the adventure and added several extra commands: hire, dismiss, jump, sacrifice, and throw. Writes Schulz, "It's up to you to figure out how and when to use them."
Walkthrough
EAG president Tom Zuchowski wrote a walkthrough for The Pyramid of Anharos that was published in the September 2000 issue of the Eamon Adventurer's Guild Newsletter. Zuchowski begins by noting that some of the half-dozen puzzles are quite obscure but can be solved by paying attention to clues and hints in the adventure, then gives the detailed steps necessary to make it through the catacombs alive.
