From the introduction:

You were in search of a new adventure in the Hills of Mansui when you stumbled on a small cave. You remember stories of an entrance into this mountain. The men at the Main Hall call this Hollow Mountain. It is said to have great treasure — if you can survive to return with it.

  • Remarks in the adventure's Leadin Program identify the author as "John Roberts". In his Bug Bytes column in the August 1985 newsletter, Nelson explains that he'd originally planned the adventure to be a very simple and generic one that he would release under this pseudonym, but he couldn't resist adding various special features to it and ultimately decided to publish it under his real name.
