The Devil's Dungeon is an Eamon adventure written by Jeanette Merrill.

Background

The adventure was first announced in the May 1984 issue of the Eamon Adventurer's Log, but writer Steve Mahr, reviewing the story in May '85, notes that the adventure had been in the club's possession for some time prior to its official release. (Mahr mentions he asked club president John Nelson about it but didn't get an answer to why.)

Premise

You're met outside the Main Hall by a dwarf who offers to take you to a little-known dungeon filled with treasure, and being greedy you decide to follow him. The dwarf leads you to a secluded spot in the forest where a small wooden door leads into the ground, then asks for a reward. If you refuse, he throws you in; if you pay too little, he'll sniff and walk away; if you pay enough, he'll thank you and advise you to "keep a sharp eye out for secret doors in this one!"
