Mars is a terrestrial world near Earth that is the setting of the Eamon adventure The Sands of Mars by Ted Swartz. In the story the adventurer is recruited by the humanoid native Martians to join in a conflict between two rival factions referred to as the "Green Meanies" and the "Rowdy Reds", warlike groups ruled by kings in near-identical castles located in the Martian desert. A rift allows travel between the desert and a point near the Main Hall in Evenhold.
Mars is also the setting of Michael Detlefsen's The Star Portal which features a mysterious alien gateway leading from Mars to unknown distant worlds.
