Antares is one of five Federation-controlled star systems in The Final Frontier by Bob Slemon and is located at coordinates (5,12,17). The system lies within the territory of the Nebuleans and includes a planet with mines that produce corbomite, a rare mineral used to power the Nebuleans' plasma weapon.
Trivia
- Antares is also identified as Alpha Scorpii and is the brightest star in the constellation of Scorpius.
