Interactive fiction (abbreviated IF) is a form of narrative fiction that uses software to give readers control over certain aspects of how a story unfolds, usually by allow them to enter commands to control the actions of a character. The Eamon and SwordThrust series are works of interactive fiction, though are categorized more specifically as computer role-playing games (CRPGs) for the role-playing elements they add to their stories.
