The Monster.Master is a text file on John Nelson's Eamon Utilities III disk that contains a large set of monster records. In his documentation, Nelson writes that he intended to create a system for automatically populating an Eamon adventure with monsters by having a program random select a specified number of them from a collection, and created the Monster.Master to be that collection. The version on the utility disk contains 353 monsters mostly drawn from the first 20 or so Eamon adventures.
Ultimately Nelson instead used the Monster.Master to provide combatants for his Battle Royale, a program that pits two monsters of the user's choice against each other in combat.
