The Eamon Dungeon Designer, also commonly known as the Dungeon Designer Disk or the DDD, is a set of programs that allows users to create their own custom adventures for Eamon. Originally developed around 1980 by series creator Donald Brown, the designer was revised and expanded several times by club presidents John Nelson and Tom Zuchowski, with the latest standard version (7.1) released in the mid-1990s.

The latest designer disk distributed by the EAG consists of the Dungeon Init, Dungeon Edit, and Dungeon List programs, a default version of the Main Program, and several supporting files and utilities. It also includes a copy of the Eamon Dungeon Designer's Manual. An additional disk known as the "Multi-Disk Supplement" includes programs that support the creation of the multi-disk adventures.

Functionality

The Dungeon Designer offered several options for editing rooms, artifacts, effects, and monsters (RAEMs):

  • Adding new RAEMs
  • Editing existing RAEMs
  • Listing names of RAEMs
  • Replacing existing RAEMs
  • Duplicating RAEMs
  • Special functions
