A kzork is a metal-eating monster mentioned by John Nelson in his "Adventure Tips" column in the May 1985 issue of the Eamon Adventurer's Log. Nelson gives several pieces of humorous advice for staying safe while looting, one of which is: "Never take jeweled locks from cell doors that are restraining hundreds of crazed metal-eating kzorks."
A monster likewise described as a "metal eater" appears in The Citadel of Blood.
