A hill climber, also referred to simply as a climber, is described in the Alternate Beginners Cave by Rick Volberding as a "weird animal with two short front legs and two longer hind legs" (presumably to stay level while ascending steep slopes). Volberding notes that the hill climber is a rare creature, and hence both living and dead specimens and very valuable. The climber in the adventure has a hardiness of 5 and an agility of 16.
