The mud-lobber wasp is a large, strong creature that adventurers may encounter in the Alternate Beginners Cave by Rick Volberding, described as a "five-foot long insect" capable of pelting enemies with clump of mud or other material. The name is a play on mud dauber, a species of wasp which builds nests from mud. The specimen in the cave has a hardiness of 200, an agility of 12, and the ability to inflict 1d4 damage.
