Amazons are female warriors highly skilled in combat and hunting, originating in Greek mythology and featuring in multiple Eamon adventures. They can be considered a subset of the fighter archetype.
Appearances
Characters identified as Amazons feature in the following adventures:
- Furioso (c. 1981) by William Davis. The adventurer encounters an Amazon in an island jungle, dressed in a loincloth and wielding a hunting spear.
- FutureQuest (1984) by Roger Pender. A tall female guard in the distant future wears purple armor decorated with "the crescent moon insignia for the Amazon Brigade".
- DharmaQuest (1984) by Roger Pender. Named Amazons include Hecuba, Creusa, Alcestis, Iphegenia, Andromache, Clytemnaestra, and Penthesilea.
- The Rescue Mission (1985) by Donald Brown. The villainous kidnapper Lucinda is described as a "renegade Amazon".
- The House of Secrets (1985) by George Gunn. An eight-foot-tall statue of a nude Amazon comes to life.
