Prairie Group is a West Des Moines-based organization that develops and markets personal information management and utility software. It was established as PrairieSoft in 1993 by Gil Beecher and Paul Miller after they were laid off from CE Software; the two purchased from CE the rights to several pieces of software that the company no longer wanted, including Donald Brown's SwordThrust adventure game system.

After also acquiring the software product line of California-based Advanced Software, PrairieSoft and Advanced together operated as subsidiaries of umbrella organization Prairie Group (established 1994) and are based at 1650 Fuller Road in West Des Moines.

Prairie Group's website has been offline since mid-2021.
