Eamon CD
The Eamon CD is a compact disc produced by Tom Zuchowski that includes an extensive collection of Eamon software from the archives of the Eamon Adventurer's Guild, including the great majority of known adventures and back issues of the Eamon Adventurer's Log. It superseded Zuchowski's Eamon Set from 1996 which filled 18 3.5-inch disks.
Contents
The Eamon CD includes 242 public-domain Eamon adventures, including native Apple II DSKs, three Apple emulators, and PC (MS-DOS) adventures. (Excluded from the collection are The House of Ill Repute and The Cat House due to their poor quality and pornographic content.) The CD also features 16 years of club newsletters, walkthroughs and user-made maps, and various other pieces of Eamoniana.
Zuchowski wrote a short guide for the disc: A Quick Guide to Eamon CD Files for the Apple II computer.
Availability
Zuchowski announced in the December 1999 issue of the Eamon Adventurer's Guild Newsletter that all EAG members would receive the CD for free, and that he would also distribute the CDs by mail in exchange for $3 to cover the cost of shipping to the US and Canada. Matthew Clark later took over the management of the project, making occasional updates to the files and posting the collection for free public download through the Eamon Adventurer's Guild Online website.
