This is a Class A (gold star) article.

Applelet, the name a portmanteau of the words Apple and applet, is a Java-based Apple II emulator created by developer Steven E. Hugg sometime prior to 2001. In late 2003 Matthew Clark, with assistance from Andrew Gregory, used Applelet as the basis for Eamon on JAVA, a set of pages at the EAG website where visitors can play Eamon adventures through their browsers via the embedded emulator applet.

The Applelet source code is publicly available from Hugg's website.
