Adventure Game Toolkit
(Redirected from AGT)
The Adventure Game Toolkit (AGT) is a system for building text-based adventure games written by David Malmberg, based on the Generic Adventure Game System (GAGS) created by Mark J. Welch in 1985. Author Michael Detlefsen, who had begun building The Star Portal for his Atari ST port of Eamon, transferred the adventure to AGT in 1987 and completed it in 1988/89. Detlefsen also authored The Misadventure of the Holy Grail, an AGT adventure based on Evan Hodson's Monty Python adventure.
The final version of AGT was version 1.7, released in 1994. Originally an MS-DOS application for PC, it has since been ported to other platforms.
