Eamon is a public-domain text-adventure gaming system that was invented around 1980. The gaming system consists of a diskful of programming tools that enable anyone to write their own Eamon adventure. The tools consist of an adventure program that can be easily customized, and various editing tools to generate the disk text files that contain the adventure's database. The system has undergone many revisions and improvements since the beginning, and over 175 Eamon adventures have been released by scores of authors.
Tom Zuchowski runs an Eamon club and newsletter for Eamon enthusiasts. His club, the Eamon Adventurer's Guild, has worked hard to debug and widely distribute the Eamon library to public domain outlets. The club offers assistance to aspiring Eamon authors and stuck players. Tom has written five Eamon adventures himself and is well-versed in the ins-and-outs of Eamon.
We're happy and lucky to have Tom here in A2 to support the Eamon gaming system.
Membership in the club and a 1-year subscription to the newsletter can be had for $7.00.
