Text Adventure Development System (or TADS) is an authoring system and programming language designed for creating text adventures and other works of interactive fiction. First developed by Michael J. Roberts in 1988, the system is compatible with a variety of platforms and was developed for many years with the most version (3.1.3) released in May 2013.
Notable text adventures written with TADS include Uncle Zebulon's Will (1995), Worlds Apart (1999), and others.
