Template:Year/doc

The year template finds instances of four-digit years in a string and links them to the appropriate section of the timeline of Eamon history.

Usage

The template has a single parameter, which is the string to be processed. The string can be just a year, or a full date, or a block of text; any discrete piece within it that consists of a four-digit number will be converted to a link.

Examples

• {{Year|1985}} → 1985
• {{Year|the mid-1980s}} → the mid-1980s
• {{Year|15 March 1980 to 30 July 1990}} → 15 March 1980 to 30 July 1990
• {{Year|12/31/2000}} → 12/31/2000
