Ground
Coordinates: 41°39′39″N 91°32′11″W / 41.6607°N 91.5365°W "Ground", also known as the Apple II Public Domain File Archive, was a collection of public domain Apple II software maintained by Steve Nelson ("apple2pd") at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Active from the mid-1990s until at least 2005, the archive was available via FTP and later also via website.
EAG president Tom Zuchowski noted in the December 1995 issue of the EAG Newsletter that he'd given the University of Iowa's archive at Ground a copy of the club's Eamon collection and that Nelson was "excited about getting them and promised to put them online." In June 1996 Zuchowski recommended Ground as a good source of Eamon software.
The archive was often identified just by its FTP or web addresses, including:
