What a night, you think. You curse yourself for staying at the 'Golden Dragon'
for so long, but Malrik, the Bartender, needed some help moving some crates. At
least you got a couple bottles of wine for your troubles.
'Hold, Sir!'
You spin about, hand going for your weapon by reflex. 'Damn!' you think. Of
all the time to get caught in an alley. You grow nervous as you see nine men
approaching. You breathe a sign of relief when you recognize them as members of
the town militia. One of them, obviously their commander, approaches you. The
others remain a comfortable distance away.
'I am Lieutenant Gerard. I do not have time to explain. Please come with me.'
He grabs your arm and begins to pull you along. Both bottles of wine fall to
the ground with resounding crashes. Oh well, they were both probably bad anyway
you think to yourself.
